Shiksha Sanskruti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi

Under the hegemony of Colonial system of education, we have been losing the vast reservoir of knowledge contained in our Knowledge system and tradition. It is accepted by all that this reservoir of Bhartiya knowledge system should be rejuvenated and restored. This required sustained efforts and a dedicated organizational set up. The ‘Shiksha Bachao Andolan’ (Save the education) started on 2nd July, 2004 with the aim of restoring our knowledge tradition though education. This was followed by the formation of the Shiksha Sanskruti Utthan Nyas in 2007. The aim of Nyas is to provide an alternative to current educational practices that would be rooted in Indian traditions. Our motto is ‘Desh ko badalna hai to Shiksha ko

• Objectives of Nyas:
• To develop an education system anchored to Bharatiya moral and national values.
• It is expected that the human resource educated in this manner will be rooted, forward looking and scientific minded. They will be a force in national development while ensuring achievement of personal goals.
• To develop a curriculum that is integrated, based on a Bhartiya culture and centered on humanism.
• To participate as a people’s movement and provide feedback to the central government in education policy making.

 

• Working areas:

Nyas is currently working on different subjects/areas related to education and Bhartiya Society. The Nyas has developed a curriculum for Character Building and Personality Development. We are also working on Vedik maths, Value based education, Environment Education, Education in Bhartiya Languages, Autonomy of Education, Bhartiya Bhasha Manch, Bhartiya Bhasha Abhiyan, Bhartiya History, Bhartiya Management, Bhartiyata in Technical Education, Quality in research  and Competitive Examination.

Nyas has developed Curriculum for schools, Curriculum for Certificate and Diploma, UG and PG programs on above subjects. Nyas has also organized hundreds of Workshops, seminars and symposium across India on above subjects. Nyas has published Books, Journals and related material on above subjects. Nyas is also publishing bimonthly journal named ‘Shiksha Utthan’
