Orientation Camp @ IIITA Prayagraj, U.P. Bharat
IIITA Prayagraj has started conducting Orientation Camp w.e.f. the UG as well as PG(including PhD) batch admitted in the year 2020-21. It has following salient features:
1. It is a 4 Credit Compulsory Course i.e. the credit requirement for the award of the BTech degree is 160 regular credits + 4 credits of Orientation Camp. Similarly the credit requirements for M.Tech., MBA and Ph.D courses have been modified.
2. The Part-1 of the orientation Camp is conducted during consecutive 6 Saturdays followed by the 1st day. The initial 3 days correspond to the C1 period and the next 3 days correspond to C2 period wherein continuous formative assessment is held. C3 summative assessment is conducted on the 7th Day.
3. For Part-1 the L:T:P = 1:1:0, but for part-2 it will be 0:0:2 i.e. in Part-2 only Practice is to be conducted. The students are required to choose any suitable non profit organization which is operating in India with a larger objective of serving the society and the nation. Suitable practice exercises may be assigned by the coordinator in consultation with the office bearers of the respective organizations.
4. The performance for both parts of the Orientation Camp will be expressed in terms of qualifier e.g Excellent/ Good/ Satisfactory/Drop etc. A DROPPED candidate has to repeat the camp, within the respective program time.
5. For earning the institute’s Medal as well as the degree with ‘Honors’, the respective B.Tech. student must have to earn GOOD (or higher) in at least one of the two parts of the Orientation Camp.
